Toronto Mindfulness Community offers meditation classes and talks in an effort to provide our community with a helpful and safe environment to explore mindfulness meditation and healing practices.
This group has been founded to assist and guide individuals and communities on their journey toward discovery and recognition of true nature, health and peace.

Theodore Tsaousidis’s life and spiritual path were deeply shaped by his early years in rural Greece, where he was immersed in a culture rooted in the healing wisdom of elders and a close relationship with the mountains and the natural world. His early involvement in environmental, ecological, and animal-rights activism led him to Buddhism, and his formal training began in 1983 in the Korean Zen tradition.
During this period, he met his principal Tibetan teacher, Venerable Acharya Zasep Tulku Rinpoche, with whom he continues to study. Under Rinpoche’s guidance, he also received training in traditional healing practices. In 2000, he met his Zen teacher in the Sanbō Kyōdan lineage, with whom he also continues to study. In 2006 Venerable Acharya Zasep Tulku Rinpoche authorized him to teach.
He is the founder and guiding teacher of the Snow Lion Meditation Community (formerly the Toronto Mindfulness Community). His approach offers a practical integration of secular mindfulness programs (MBSR/MBCT) with the study and practice of Buddhism. Drawing on decades of training in Tibetan Vajrayana and Zen, as well as traditional healing methods, he offers classes, workshops, and retreats in the Toronto and Owen Sound areas.
At the heart of his work is a simple and direct intention: to provide accessible, everyday tools that help people recognize their inherent worth and successfully navigate life’s emotional and physical challenges with clarity and compassion, for the benefit of all beings.
